Naperville's annual four-day festival, which has as many as 200,000 visitors each July has out-grown its current location and will move to Romeoville in 2020. But for now, you can still enjoy everything you've loved about Ribfest at its Naperville home.
Ribfest is also a nationally recognized barbecue contest. The rib vendors compete for cash prizes and honors in three categories: Best Ribs, Best Sauce and Kid’s Choice.
Rib vendors include Armadillo’s Rib and BBQ Company, Bar-B-Cue Colonel, Texas Outlaws, Uncle Bob’s, Coyote Roadhouse, Pigfoot, Rasta Joe’s BBQ, Just North of Memphis Barbecue, Salt Creek Barbecue, Mojo’s Rib Shack and Desperados’ BBQ and Rib Company.
In addition to ribs, there are about 15 other food options for you, including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. Food trucks will be in the North Park for the first time this year for the concert crowd. Kids and families can also enjoy a host of carnival games and activities.
The fireworks display is at 9:30 p.m. July 4 after Flo Rida performs. It is about 30 minutes long.
Ribfest is a benefit for the Exchange Club of Naperville, which is dedicated to the elimination of child abuse and domestic violence. Since its inception in 1987, the Exchange Club has raised more than $17.5 million from Ribfest.
