Don't let the warm fall days pass you by without one last trip to Potter's Place's outdoor patio for Mexican food and Margarita's. Located in the heart of Downtown Naperville, Potter’s Place serves up great Tex-Mex food in a casual atmosphere. Potter's has the biggest outdoor patio with live music in the evenings.
Tex-Mex Style:
There are lots of options for Mexican food in Downtown Naperville, but Potter's is a great place for those of us who really enjoy TEX-MEX style Mexican food. While there are similarities between Tex-Mex and pure Mexican cuisine, there are some ingredients that are typically added to Tex-Mex food. These include shredded cheese, meat (particularly beef, pork, and chicken), beans, peppers, and spices, in addition to flour tortillas.
Tex-Mex also has imported flavors, such as cumin, introduced by Spanish immigrants to Texas from the Canary Islands. Tex-Mex often adds a twist on traditional Mexican food such as the use of chile peppers or multiple variations of "street taco's."
Our Favorite Things to Order:
SHRIMP AND CHICKEN FAJITAS: Plump shrimp and fresh chicken served with onions, green peppers a side of guac and sour cream.
CHICKEN OR CHEESE ENCHILADA'S: Tex-Mex flavor with ample portions.
ALA CART STREET TACO'S: If you want a lighter meal, there are several individual tacos to order.
Naperville Foodie Pointers:
OUTDOOR/INDOOR: There is plenty of indoor seating in the colder months to enjoy this TEX-MEX food, but you really have to make a point of enjoying the outdoor seating with live music during the warmer months. It's a super relaxing and fun atmosphere.
PARK IN THE BACK: There is ample free parking in the behind the restaurant or in the parking garage, PLUS, this will give you easy access to Sweet Home Gelato to cap off some good Mexican food.
HOW TO SAVE $$: This restaurant provides good portions of food at a fair price, but they also have plenty of drink specials and smaller portions to save $$.

If you are such a "Foodie" how can you say Potters food is good at all. Worst "Mexican" food on the planet
